Sandeep Singh Sandhu also popularly known as Sandeep Nangal Ambian or Gladiator (c. 1983 – 14 March 2022) was a British-Indian kabaddi player who played in the position of a stopper. He had represented both India and the United Kingdom in international kabaddi matches. He also captained both India and UK kabaddi teams.

Tamil Thalaivas is an Indian professional kabaddi franchise based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The team competes in the Pro Kabaddi League and was added as one of the four additional franchises when the league was expanded in 2017. The team plays its home matches at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai and is owned by Magnum Sports.
The International Kabaddi Federation (IKF), is an international governing body of the sport of kabaddi. [1] Its membership comprises 31 national associations. [ 2 ] The federation was formed in 2004 and was founded by Ashish Pachori from India who served as the first president.
The 2016 Kabaddi World Cup was the third edition of the men's Kabaddi World Cup organised by the International Kabaddi Federation and contested from 7 to 22 October 2016 in Ahmedabad, India. Twelve countries competed in the tournament. India won their 3rd World Cup by defeating Iran 38–29 in the final.
The tournament was organized by the Government of Punjab, India.The dates of the tournament were first announced publicly on 12 July 2013. Approving of the 20 crore budget for the 4th World Cup Kabaddi, the opening and closing ceremonies were telecast live throughout the country, with international broadcasting in Canada, the United States, India and the United Kingdom.
