The Diocese of Tucson in 2005 reached an agreement in bankruptcy court to pay a $22.2 million settlement to victims of sex abuse by clergy. [23] In 2013, Stephanie Innes of the Arizona Daily Star labeled the diocese as a "dumping ground" for abusive priests after it was revealed that several accused clergy from other diocese were sent to Tucson.
To celebrate its completion, a re-dedication mass was led by the Bishop of Tucson, Gerald Kicanas, on February 12, 2011. Hundreds from the faithful Catholic community turned out for this special day. The total cost for all renovations was over US$1 million, donated by members of the diocese. [4]
Kicanas was named coadjutor bishop of Tucson on October 30, 2001 and became bishop after the resignation of Bishop Manuel Moreno on March 7, 2003. [ 4 ] [ 1 ] On November 13, 2007, Kicanas was elected vice-president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), receiving 22 more votes than Archbishop Timothy Dolan .
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Saint Cloud announced on February 28, 2018, that it would file for bankruptcy amid claims of sex abuse. [50] The Diocese then filed on March 5, 2019. [51] On May 26, 2020, it was agreed that the Diocese could undergo bankruptcy if $22.5 million was forfeited to compensate 70 sex abuse survivors. [52]

The listing included three contributing buildings, some non-contributing buildings, and two rose tree roses rose trees which are considered to be contributing objects.
