Ilta-Sanomat (Finnish for 'the evening news') is one of Finland's two prominent tabloid-size evening newspapers and the largest paper in the country. Its counterpart and biggest rival is Iltalehti . According to the National Media Research done in 2019, Ilta-Sanomat is also the biggest digital media in Finland and reaches about 2.5 million Finns.

The offices of Helsingin Sanomat, Ilta-Sanomat, Taloussanomat, Radio Rock, Radio Suomipop, Loop, Helmiradio, HitMix, and Me Naiset Radio are located in open offices at the top floors of the building. Presidential elections were held in Finland in January and February 2012. The first round took place on 22 January 2012 with advance voting between 11 and 17 January. Since no candidate received a majority of the vote, a second round was held on 5 February, with advance voting between 25 and 31 January.
