The Red Lion Area School District is a large, suburban/rural, public school district located in southeastern York County, Pennsylvania, that serves the boroughs of Felton, Red Lion, Windsor, and Winterstown; and the townships of Chanceford Township, Lower Chanceford Township, North Hopewell Township, and Windsor Township.
The school is located at 2750 Red Lion Road, just north of the Northeast Philadelphia Airport. The school is one of the few special admission high schools in the School District of Philadelphia. The school serves students from ninth through twelfth grade from all over the city, and has an approximate enrollment of about 800 students.
Johnson has been the defensive line coach at Red Lion Area Senior High School in Red Lion, Pennsylvania since 2012. Two years prior, in 2010, he set up the Rising Stars Football Academy, a non-contact football camp for football players who play at the High School Varsity/JV, Freshman, Junior High, and Midget football levels.
Red Lion, settled in 1852, was named after one of the first pubs in town, the Red Lion Tavern. [4] The town was a main stop along the old Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad, known locally as the "Ma & Pa" Railroad. That railroad ran from York County to Baltimore, Maryland. [5] Red Lion was once famous for the many brands of cigars made there.

William Michael Stankewicz (1945 – November 27, 2023) was an American teacher who attacked educators and children at North Hopewell-Winterstown Elementary School in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, in 2001. Stankewicz attacked 11 kindergarteners, two teachers, and the principal with a machete.
