Aquarium station is a station on the River Line light rail system, located on Delaware Avenue in Camden, New Jersey. It is named for the nearby Adventure Aquarium located in on the Camden Waterfront. The station opened on March 15, 2004. [1] Southbound service from the station is available to the line's terminus at Entertainment Center.
In 1999, the Camden City Garden Club announced plans to open a children's horticultural garden immediately behind the aquarium, on 4 acres (16,000 m 2) of land between the waterfront building and the street. Construction moved quickly, both on the garden itself and a new facade, box office, and gift shop for the aging aquarium.
