The high run at three-cushion billiards for many years was 25, set over two games (fourteen and out and starting with eleven in the next game) by the American Willie Hoppe in 1918 during an exhibition in San Francisco. The UMB World Three-cushion Championship is a professional carom billiards tournament in the discipline of three-cushion billiards, organized mostly annually by the Union Mondiale de Billard (UMB). The United States Billiard Association or USBA is the governing body for all professional carom billiards tournaments in the United States, especially three-cushion billiards. After Sang Lee's record 12 consecutive USBA National Three-Cushion Championships from 1990 to 2001, it was Piedrabuena who next took the title, in 2002. After his win in 2002 Piedrabuena went on to win 11 USBA National Three-Cushion Championships, with his most recent win in 2022.
