Schroeder was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Florence Ella (Endebrock) and Louis Arthur Schroeder. [2] [3] He had an older sister, Nancy, and a younger brother, Rudy.. Schroeder moved with his family to Lorain, Ohio, when he was in elementary school and graduated from Lorain High School where he was an honors student and an outstanding athlete.
Schroeder married record company representative Abby Steinberg on October 31, 1967. [5] Abby was the sister of PR Newswire president David Steinberg. Aaron Schroeder died on December 2, 2009, in Englewood, New Jersey, aged 83. For the last five years, he was a resident of the Lillian Booth Actors' Home of the Actors Fund in Englewood.
In 1997, she married Nicholas Francis Fane, an Old Etonian, in Westminster, London. [3] [7] They had three children together, and divorced in 2014. [3]He died on 19 December 2014, "suddenly and tragically", aged 57, [8] and his funeral was held on 8 January 2015 at St. Nicholas Church, Steventon, Hampshire. [9]
