    I never saw the movie, but heard it had too many similarities not for Zelda to be based on the movie. I looked it up, and Zelda was released in Feb, 1986, and Legend was released in Dec, 1985, meaning Nintendo would have to have made a massive game (for its time) in just a matter of weeks, impossible for the time!
