James Michael Holmes (born April 12, 1957) is a retired United States Air Force general. He was the Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Plans and Requirements at Headquarters United States Air Force in Washington, D.C. , before he became the commander of Air Combat Command on March 10, 2017.
