The Augusta Regional SPCA Spay/Neuter Clinic is a low-cost clinic welcoming pets and their owners from across the entire community. Healthy dogs and cats 8 weeks and over and weighing at least 2 pounds are eligible for surgery.
The Augusta Regional SPCA provides an adoption facility year-round to the communities of Augusta County, Staunton, and Waynesboro, and to all communities outside these areas. On September 1, 2011, the ARSPCA relinquished the duties of intaking stray companion animals to the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center in Lyndhurst, VA.
The Augusta Regional S.P.C.A. advocates the humane treatment of companion animals through leadership and proactive solutions to pet overpopulation including adoptions, spay/neuter efforts, and education.

How to Adopt. We invite you to visit our shelter during the following hours to meet our adoptable animals. Open for Animal Visitation: Tuesdays: 1 PM – 4 PM. Wednesdays: 1 PM – 4 PM. Thursdays: 1 PM – 6 PM. Fridays: 1 PM – 4 PM. Every 2nd and 4th Saturday: 1 PM – 4 PM.
Pets for Seniors. Through The Jack Didawick Adoption Fund the Augusta Regional SPCA is offering a “Pets for Seniors” program. Any qualifying senior 65 years and older may adopt a 2+ year old dog or cat from the Augusta Regional SPCA at a special rate. Cats can be adopted for $25, dogs for $50.
Our volunteers may help with many different tasks including. Dog walking. Socializing the animals. Fostering animals. Hosting Pet Outings and “Meet & Greets” in the community. Helping staff the SPCA Benefit Shop at 2217 North Augusta Street in the Terry Court Shopping Center. Helping with fund-raising events.
