Brazoria County (/ b r ə ˈ z ɔːr i ə / brə-ZOR-ee-ə) is a county in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, the population of the county was 372,031. [1] The county seat is Angleton. [2] Brazoria County is included in the Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land metropolitan statistical area. It is located in the Gulf Coast region of Texas.
Brazoria is located southwest of the center of Brazoria County. The northeastern edge of the community, known as Old Brazoria, is located along the Brazos River. Texas State Highway 36 runs through the center of the city, leading southeast 16 miles (26 km) to Freeport and northwest 41 miles (66 km) to Rosenberg.

In 2005, the Brazoria County section of FM 2004, from the Galveston County line to SH 36, was designated the Jason Oliff Memorial Highway in honor of Brazoria County Sheriff Deputy Jason Oliff.
