William D. Phillips Log Cabin is a historic site near Hogansville, Georgia, located in Meriwether County. It was built by William D. Phillips (1768-1849) for his family. [2] The original log cabin is no longer standing. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 28, 1982. [3] It is located on Georgia State Route 54.

The Bowman-Pirkle House is a historic two-story log house in Buford, Georgia. It was built in 1818 for John Bowman, who served under General Andrew Jackson during the First Seminole War of 1816–1819. [2] The house was built with the help of Cherokees as a token of the friendship between Bowman and Chief Major Ridge. [2]
