Asta and Yuno eventually travel to the capital to attend the magic knight selection exam. While Yuno is placed in the prestigious Golden Dawn squad, Asta earns Yami Sukehiro's respect and becomes a member of the Black Bulls – the worst magic knight squad in the kingdom. Asta also meets Noelle Silva, a noblewoman and fellow newcomer to the team.
