The High School opened in the 1991–92 school year [3] replacing the now-closed Crestwood High School. In 1992, the first time a cougar appeared, which was the mascot of the school. 1993 saw enrollment rise to 2200 due to the rapidly growing Alpharetta area. The football stadium opened on September 17, 1993.
