The 2024–25 La Liga 2, also known as LALIGA HYPERMOTION [1] [2] due to sponsorship reasons, is the 94th season of the Segunda División since its establishment in Spain. It commenced on 15 August 2024 and is scheduled to end in June 2025.
The Royal Spanish Football Federation created a new tier to begin in the 2021–22 season placed between the Segunda División and the former Segunda División B which had been created in 1977. [2] The federation officially named the third tier, containing two regionalised groups, the Primera Federación.
Segunda División B (English: second division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021.
Levante returned to Segunda Division after being relegated.
