Midsomer Murders is a British television detective drama [1] that has aired on ITV since 1997. The show is based on Caroline Graham's Chief Inspector Barnaby book series, originally adapted by Anthony Horowitz. From the pilot episode on 23 March 1997 until 2 February 2011 the lead character, DCI Tom Barnaby, was portrayed by John Nettles.
Over the next decade, she starred in several television movies. In 2003, Gold appeared in an episode of the TV show The Dead Zone as the character Penny Barton. Midsomer Murders is a detective drama [1] set in modern-day England. The stories revolve around the efforts of Detective Chief Inspector Tom Barnaby, and later his successor, cousin John Barnaby, to solve numerous murders that take place in the picturesque but deadly villages of the fictional county of Midsomer.
