Good Shepherd Cathedral School (GSCS) is a Filipino Catholic school located at the corner of Omega Avenue and Rado Street in West Fairview, Quezon City, Philippines.It is a private sectarian school situated at the back of the Cathedral Shrine and Parish of the Good Shepherd, the seat of the Bishop of Novaliches.
The Diocese of Novaliches (Latin: Dioecesis Novalichesina; Filipino: Diyosesis ng Novaliches) is a diocese of the Latin Church of the Catholic Church in the Philippines.The diocese was created by Pope John Paul II on December 7, 2002, by virtue of his Apostolic Constitution Animarum Utilitati, [2] and was canonically erected on January 16, 2003, from the Archdiocese of Manila.
Its cathedral is the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd, in North York, Toronto, Ontario. As of 2016, the eparchy served 31,716 of the faithful. [1] Seven priests and 40 permanent deacons preside over eight parishes, which are located in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec.
The church was dedicated in 1883. The building is also known for its stained-glass windows, organ, art, and size. The church also had its own school, St. Joseph's School. The school was later merged, along with other schools, to the existing Saint James School, which is the only Catholic School under the Good Shepherd Parish. [4]
