Rail City Casino (formerly Plantation Casino) is a casino in Sparks, Nevada.It is owned and operated by Affinity Gaming.It contains 23,854 square feet (2,216.1 m 2) of gaming space, [1] with 896 slot machines, 7 table games, a keno parlor, and a William Hill race and sports book. [2]

An addition was completed in 1970, adding a five-story hotel building with 24 rooms, and a casino with 40 slot machines. In 1979, the 15-story Regency Tower was added, with 300 hotel rooms and more casino space.

Prior to the construction of the casino, part of the site was used for a Streamline Moderne train station. [2] Constructed in 1940, the station was upgraded with neon lights in 1946. [3] The station served several Union Pacific trains a day, due for Los Angeles to the west and Salt Lake City, then St. Louis and Chicago to the east.
The Casino is also accessible by rail via the free jitney buses to and from the Atlantic City Rail Terminal (NJ Transit Atlantic City Line). Also accessible by NJ Transit Bus #501. The casino offers air charter service via Republic Airlines to Atlantic City International Airport from many cities across the East coast with hotel packages. [19]
