This page explains different methods for creating, controlling and preventing line breaks and word wraps in Wikipedia articles and pages. When a paragraph or line of text is too long to fit on one line, web browsers, like many other programs, automatically wrap the text to the next line.
In this example, the scope attribute defines what the headers describe, column or row, which screen readers use. You can add a table using HTML rather than wiki markup, as described at HTML element#Tables. However, HTML tables are discouraged because wikitables are easier to customize and maintain, as described at manual of style on tables.
A page can be defined to have multiple columns. When this is the case, blocks flow from one column into the next by default. Individual blocks can be set to span all columns, creating a textual break in the page. The columns above this break will flow into each other, as will the columns below the break.
